It is a bit smaller than I expected. Would like to see it come in a larger size for big torso's, rides a little high.
Christopher R.
Great product, easy to use. My only issue is that the phone pouch is too small for my main phone. My main phone is a Samsung Note 10+. My secondary phone is an S8+ and I had to take it out of the case to get into fit. Still a tight fit.
Future releases not redesign should take into account the larger phones. The Note 10+ has a 6.3" screen while the S8+ is smaller and has a 5.8" screen.
Elizabeth F.
Fits great. I use it to secure the phone and my keys. I also bought the clip on lights, which are awesome.
Gerald M.
Very comfortable love the ease of on and off. High visibility is a plus for me as well. Bought one for my daughter for her birthday
Highly recommend this for all runners
Joshua Torres-Negron T.
Pros: I was a bit skeptical on how firm my phone would hold, but for the most part, it does not bounce much at all on my runs. After washing it a few times, and running consistently for a month, it is still holding together!
Cons: Sometimes while running, it is hard to snap the phone back with the button, especially when wearing running gloves. You can adjust the fitment on the straps around your ribs, but I wish there were some shoulder adjustments to make it fit a little bigger.
Toby W.
Lightweight and comfortable.
Christopher S.
Been running with it for a few weeks now. It fits and holds the phone good. Makes the phone easier to access and within reach. Touchscreen works. Holds everything I need so don't need to carry a waist pack.
Ashley B.
Absolutely love my Free Train vest. One suggestion would be to change the snap to a non-metallic snap. I sweat quite a bit and Iβve noticed that the snap will rust and not be as secure over time.
Andrew S.
My experience with free train was seamless! I bought the reflective vest for my brother and heβs in love with it. I will purchase one for myself in the future!
Rudy E.
This is my second order so safe to say I love them
Mike P.
Hands down the best running investment Iβve made in years
Mario S.
It was a gift for someone else
Janeika C.
Very nice!
Comfortable and easily accessible even while running.
Ryanna S.
It does everything it said it would. The chest band is adjustable, but I wish shoulder height was, too. I lost my credit cards out of the pocket because they fell out while I was struggling to get my phone out to take a picture of the beautiful scenery.
John L.
One of the stitches in the adjustable waistband completely came out. Will have to return for a new one.
Mary M.
The main reason I wanted this vest is so I could carry my phone with me as I ran, and also be able to have easy access to it. I used to run with my phone on my wrist, but I really didn't like how it felt or looked. My wife bought the reflective vest for me for Christmas and I love it. I often run at night in our neighborhood and it was always with a bit of trepidationβsome of our neighbors apparently confuse the name of our subdivision "Audobon" with "Autobahn." I run with blinking bands, but they don't seem to catch attention quite like the vest. With the vest, I feel so much more secure running at night. I've definitely noticed a difference: It's very reassuring to finally see approaching cars take a wide berth well before they are close.
Noe G.
Itβs great love the fact I could run without the hastle of carrying my phone or keys. I could run faster and longer itβs great I love it , I totally recommend it, itβs worth the investment Iβm satisfied with my product .
Marilyn C.
Have not used it yet, but it looks great
Derrek L.
Excellent accessory when running. No phone is flapping while I run. I can now just focus on my running goal.
Sharon M.
This is my 3rd vest and I absolutely love it. I use it every day and it's the best way to run hands-free.
Doug N.
I love the product! I am not sure if it will fit the new IPhone Max, etc. which I am hoping to buy next year. The fit is comfortable and easy on/off. I am a larger guy and I use it for my walks so I don't have to wear headphones. The fit is comfortable, easy on/off but I would have liked to see an option for being able to expand its length by 2 inches but also realize that it could cause the fit to be loose, which would lead to rubbing for those who run, etc.
Jose M.
I have one that has lasted for about a year, I am a person who runs long distances and I love the vest so much so I just bought the second one! For people who are looking for quality, comfort for hard workouts this is what they are looking for! Highly recommended!
Juan V.
Super happy with my purchase. I love the feeling of carrying the weight of my phone on my chest as opposed to my weist. My hips are free to move unencumbered. I imagine they designed the carrying pouch to fit most if not all phones. I must have the biggest android made because it barely fits. But it fits. Stoked!
shannon b.
Really love it for my runs, don't have to worry about it bouncing around. Only drawback for me is it won't fit with bulky case
Leslie S.
I love how it not only holds my phone but it doesn't bounce. The two smaller pockets are great for gells and a small key. What my favorite thing is how it's very reflective.
Dave G.
Comfortable and well built! I use it everyday. I do wish the phone pocket was a tiny bit bigger. iPhone 11 barely fits and is tough to pull out.
Billy L.
Unfortunately it took over 2 weeks for the Freetrain to arrive, but I'm sure most of that was on the USPS. As for the device itself, it has been good so far. I have a little concern/worry that the velcro and/or the button (material around) won't last terribly long after consistent usage.
Jude S.
This is such a great product. I use it everyday when I go to the gym to train or run outdoors. It keeps my mind free from worrying about whether I can wear shorts with pockets or not. And if do have pockets I don't have to worry about whether they'll be big enough to hold my phone while I workout or run. I can devote more mental energy for the mind-muscle connection and I'm better for it. Plus it looks good on me.
Great product. Thanks.
James B.
It is great to have, the phone pocket could be a little bigger.
Jeremy C.
The updated design shows that you genuinely care about feedback! The adjustable straps on the back have made a tremendous difference, and I always felt constricted on my chest with the last model! I love my new VR Vest, and wear it every run!
Daniel R.
Excellent solution for a problem that every runner faces. No phone jostling, no wet sweaty phone, no running with your arms behind your back trying to stuff your phone in your pants! Great product!!
john h.
Cool product, good fit, me likey.
Benjamin N.
I Love the free train vest! ever since quarantine started, i got my self really into running and now itβs something i canβt go without. the thing is i have 3 dogs (2 are big) and they have so much energy and could go on forever plus i have a huge phone that doesnβt help holding onto either. with The FreeTrain vest iβm able to be as hands free as possible and focus on what really matters. My 5k mile AVG before was 9:00-9:10 now with the vest (and a dog belt) itβs 7:55-8:05
Roderick R.
It's a great product, but I just purchased a Samsung Note 20 Ultra. It doesn't fit at all with a case on it, and the flap barely closes without the case on it. This is my only issue with this product. If it can be reproduced to hold larger phones it would be a really great product.
Rommelle c.
I love the new gray vest with adjustable sides. Its reflective and holds my phone during run. I love it
Raymond M.
Just what I was looking for, something to run with my hands and pockets free.
The only thing I would recommend to improve is the clip. Even though I wash the vest by hand an let it dry accordingly to instructions, in 3 months aprox, there was the pressence of rust. I have managed to take it almost all out, but the clip base is bending. I think in a couple months will have to repair it.
But apart from that, its a great training equipment, good reflection, very comfortable and very practical with those side pockets for keys or whatever you choose to use them for.
Carol M.
I bought this as a Christmas gift for my daughter's boyfriend. He runs, bikes, and hikes so I'm thinking this will be a great gift.
Turron K.
The absolute BEST for running! My only critique is that they should make the phone pocket a little bigger because of the different phone sizes.
I have a Note 10+ and I have to take my case off in order for it to fit.
Andres Z.
Love the product - bought the V1 originally, had it for a few weeks and had to buy the Freetrain VR to go with it!
Michael B.
Phone doesn't bounce when running - was a big success. Although... I carry my iPhone 10 in an Otterbox Defender- and have to remove phone from Otterbox to get into freetrain carrier. I wish there was an option for that.
Julia G.
This has been the most comfortable βrunning walletβ (phone, keys, card, dog poop bags) Iβve ever used!
My waist pack bounces around too much on my fanny and my arm band slides around or makes me arm go numb. This, though, I almost forget I have this on!
Iβm a night runner and I love the safety of being able to quickly access my phone. The reflective material on that version is super powerful and makes me feel like BeyoncΓ© when I run, also a plus. The only complaint - should be more towards my momma, I suppose - is that it fits a little awkward across the ta-tas if you have any cushion going on there.
Highly recommend!
David M.
Exceptional addition to my walking program. No more carrying a bulky smartphone in my hand. The Freetrain allows me to enjoy my walks and the position of the phone allows me to listen to music without taking away from my situational awareness.
Vena W.
Love it.
Love the fit
Love the use
Love the reflective
Jay H.
My wife was always scared about me getting hurt during long road runs, but not since get the VR Vest!
Not only do I now always have my phone on me, I have a place to get electrolyte gel, and place to clip my MP3 player that the earbud wires don't get in the way.
Alessandra D.
I love this product. I use it for running and riding my bike. I barely feel like I'm wearing it...so comfortable!!
SIDNEY J.
The VR Vest is working VERY well for me. I really enjoy not having to hold my phone in my hands.
Glenn W.
Seems really nice for the temperatures Iβm running in Iβm just not sure if it will be too warm in the summer months.
Blake A.
This is my second Freetrain vest. I loved my first one, but it wasnβt adjustable. I have been using the VR, with the adjustable waistband and I love it. It is really comfortable, sometimes at the end of my run, I forget I have it on
Gilbert T.
This is my second vest pictured. I have since bought the newest version. Love them. Making it adjustable and reflective took it to another level!
Robert Y.
Would be nice to have an option to have a little more storage. Maybe Velcro or buckle attachable pouches. When I go on long runs I need energy packs, gels, or water and so I will need to have a separate holder for those items.
Thanks
Sara A.
Great fit and I love having everything I need on my without any additional bands or bags
Tyann Z.
This vest is LEGIT.
I bought this to replace a running belt because the belt was A) harder to use comfortably and B) if using a running app, anytime I wanted to pause or mute a call, etc. I had to stop, finagle the phone out of the belt, then stuff it back in. With the vest it's ridiculously easy to see my phone and mute calls or pause apps. It's also crazy comfortable - I don't feel my phone moving around (and it's a big phone, samsung note 9), plus the high-vis aspect is huge for me since I tend to run in the early evening when it's starting to get dark. The two pockets are also very handy - if my dog comes along I can easily stash my keys in one pocket and a roll of poop bags in the other. Perfect.
Overall I'm super happy with this purchase - good motivator to get out and run more!
Austin L.
It holds my phone comfortably against my chest and I have Bertyβs leash tethered to it. We run side by side and the vest stays in place really well. Love the product.
Arzi R.
It's a very convenient accessory to have, especially on longer runs. Glad I got myself a VR vest.
Anne D.
I kept seeing the Freetrain Vest on my social feed and was skeptical about buying it. After asking a few friends if they liked theirs, I purchased the vest. Itβs comfortable, fits my phone and key and doesnβt bounce around as Iβm running. Itβs almost as though I canβt even feel it in my body. I liked it so much , I bought one for my running buddy.
Andrew W.
The Freetrain has been a solid addition to my daily runs. I used to run with my phone in my hand and that was never ideal due to the numerous times I either dropped my phone or I tripped while running. The Freetrain has eliminated the concern of further damage to my phone. A solid overall product.
Steven V.
Adjustable strap makes for a great fit. Phone storage allows me to easily listen to music or podcasts.
Thomas H.
I bought this as an alternative to the armband phone holder. It requires a few trial runs to identify the most comfortable adjustments, as too tight restricts your lungs about it expand fully. The zipper pouch on the upper left side splits easily, so you can't really put anything in the pouch that causes it to expand too much. The main phone pouch is the perfect size, and the plastic screen protector adheres directly to your phone screen; unfortunately, its so sensitive that I found my phone skipping a few songs on my playlist because of a movement of my arm. The reflectivity is high, which is the primary reason why I bought this vest.
Glenayle D.
Kudos to the brain/s who came up with this product. I love running, but I love it even more now that I am wearing FreeTrain during my runs. ββ !

Love the new color for running at night and early mornings. I feel much safer with this edition of the product (this is my 2nd as I have the black version as well).
The idea of having my phone on my chest for easy access is a great idea.
The touch screen features work very well - almost too well....The only drawback is occasionally at times when I get very heated (running in south Florida) the sensitive touch screen activates and will shut off my music or skip songs - which really makes me unhappy.
This doesnβt happen often and that is the only reason I didnβt rate this product βexcellentβ.
Bottom line - if I wear this one out - I will buy another, especially this light colored version.
Hillary P.
Had never brought anything like it! When you search online the majority of the products they sell are Fanny packs or arm bands. I have tried to run with several other items but it was so uncomfortable. When I brought this vest, my running career changed for the better. Fits your phone, keys, and a small snack. I also have a small frame body and can still adjust it, without it budging. AMAZING product, every runner needs this is their life!
Bryant S.
Perfect for My Training AND Runs!
Kenneth Y.
I love it i can run and not to have the phone in my hand.
Dean K.
The vest everything you could ask for in a running vest for carrying your phone. The quality was the best i have seen. The material was top quality and the fit was perfect. The only reason i gave it a 4 star is it did not fit my iphone 11 with the case on. Hopefully they can update the vest to hold larger phones and phones with cases. Great design and well made vest!
Robert R.
Great product. Just needs side snaps so the phone compartment is even more secure. Phone pouch may be a alittle short...the flap cant close securely. Maybe allowing the phone compartment to be adjustable for these hige phones.
Melanie T.
The ordering process was very easy. Shipping was very quick. Itβs a gift for my husband for Christmas so I canβt comment on the product yet.
Michael R.
It fits comfortably. Holds the phone perfectly and the extra compartments for keys and such is icing on the cake.
The original one I bought did not have the adjustments on the side, this newest one does and makes a big difference.
I run 100 plus miles a month and this product has been amazing and I will continue to use
Paul P.
I have been training in the free train VR vest because I am out running early in the morning when it is dark. It is very reflective and goes well with my LED lighted vest (for extra visibility). I just ran a 100 mile race in it and it was comfortable. There was zero chafing issues. I needed my phone on me to run a GPS tracking app and the phone sits high enough I don't even need headphones to hear my music. It keeps my ears clear so I can hear traffic or talk with others while running.
It is a bit of a challenge to fit my phone into the sleeve but once it is in, it works fine. The touch screen still works well through the plastic protective layer. I used a marker to put where the side buttons on my phone are for power and volume controls. Otherwise it is a guessing game and a bit frustrating figuring that out while running. Buttoning the phone back onto the vest after checking my phone while running is hard. Sometimes I get it right but most of the time it takes me a while to fasten it back on. I think a strong "magnet" might be better? Anyway, there has to be a better solution because running and trying to fasten the phone back to the vest is a bit tough. In the fall or winter with gloves or mittens on will make it even harder.
Lastly, I was able to cram on of my Maurten gels into the zip up pocket. However, I wish there was more storage on the vest because I am an ultra runner. Additional pockets could be added around the waist adjustment like you see on many running vests. This way, a runner could store multiple gels, first-aid, electrolyte salts, a headlamp, etc. The pockets on vest are so small that they are almost pointless. I was able to put a vial of Base Salt in the other pocket but it was a real challenge to get it out on the run. If you really want to appeal to long distance runners, I would even find a way to add on a couple of small water bottles. For now I can use my Nathan hip water bottle carrier or wear my ultra shorts that incorporate two water bottle pockets on the back. I unfortunately cannot wear this vest and my Solomon ultra running water and gear vest at the same time. I had to take the free train vr off when I switched over to my running vest during a long portion of my 100 mile run where there wasn't an aid station for a long period of time. In shorter distances using this vest is no problem because I can get to an aid station without needing to carry much fuel and water.
Great product overall. Unique and one of a kind. I would definitely recommend it to serious runners who want to have their phone with them. I do, it helps my wife track me on long runs or races and she has peace of mind knowing she can find me or I can call her if I need something. Putting my phone in my pocket days are over where the phone often times gets really wet because of my sweat or it just feels uncomfortable in my shorts.
Mark F.
I love the way it fits. It feels great to run free, without headphones and I can hear my run app call out my mileage and time. My goals are now attainable without an annoying wais. or armband
Michael G.
Works well but my phone wonβt fit when itβs in the case. I have to take my phone out of its case to use. Not a huge issue but can be a little annoying.
Linda B.
I love my Freetrain vest! No more stumbling with my phone or struggling with an armband
I even feel safer being have the reflective vest and I place for my money and ID.
GREAT PRODUCT!
Jasper G.
I bought my wife one as a gift since she runs early in the morning, plus a reflector for safety reasons. Now i bought one for myself and we both run together with it. Whether its alone or with her, I always take it with me. Having my music Around makes it even better. Great idea freetrain!
Jose M.
I love the fit, very snug hands free.
There is an opportunity for improvement if the chest portion behind the phone holder could be a thinner mash, to prevent less sweating and heat and more air circulation to stay cool. Other than that I love it.
Camara W.
I love it. It makes for a better training experience.
Keyla V.
I absolutely love the running vest, I can put my pepper spray in the little pockets and have room for my phone and even a little flashlight. Iβm an early bird so itβs still dark out but I def feel safe and visible with my new vest. Iβve had a lot of compliments! Thank you!
danyel c.
I love my Free Train vest! Best running accessory Iβve ever bought.
Kyle H.
Love not having to hold my phone or have a tight band/compression sleeve on my arm while going for runs. This vest is great!
Luis G.
I'm enjoying my vest, I feel so much safer running in the early morning. The only problem was having my phone in the pouch caused a lot of movement in the vest. The weight of the phone bouncing was a bit annoying. Overall I love the Free Train!
Leonardo G.
Coming back from a surgery to a 6 mile run and with no worries about my phone in hand or pocket, that was a great run.
Customer
can't even tell I'm wearing it, but have easy access to my phone
Anthony E.
It fits like a glove with the adjustable straps. Although I wish the compartment for the phone was a little more sturdy in terms of not moving while I'll run, but that's just me being picky. Maybe for your next model, you build the phone compartment inside the vest itself but I don't know.
Carolyn S.
I bought on for my husband and I and we absolutely LOVE them!!! They are extremely comfortable and Iβm able to carry everything I need. My phone can be difficult to get out of the pocket, but I only need to get it out when Iβm done running, so definitely not a deal breaker. I would definitely recommend buying one!!!
Andrew H.
Excellent tool to hold phone and cards.
Robert T.
Love the hands free approach. Love the pouch, zippered pocket!
Alexander H.
I love the Freetrain VR vest. It keeps my hands free while running. I have about 30 miles in so far and I love it. I chose the reflective vest because winter is coming and it will be getting darker, earlier. This will help me be seen when running at dawn or dusk. Great product.
Tammy H.
I love it so much that I purchased two of them. Itβs lightweight and I enjoy the he compartments for my phone and key. This purchase was well worth it!
Jesus B.
The material is superb and is really comfortable when juggling a stroller and dog to run with. The training vest is worth the money! I highly recommend it!!
Jasmine M J.
So happy with my purchase. Itβs comfortable and does itβs job. Easy to put on and take off. So glad I donβt have to use a running belt anymore. Thank you for creating this product!
DEREK C.
I really like not carrying my phone and it is much better than the arm bands I have used in the past, but there are a few issues. First, I have a Galaxy Note 20 Ultra and I have to remove it from its case to put it in the holder. I wish it would just fit with the case, but it is what it is. I even had to remove my iPhone 7 from the case in order to get it to fit in the holder. Second, it gets a little toasty when running with it - it feels like it traps the heat in. I am not looking forward to running next July/August when it gets really toasty. Lastly, I run with a chest strap heart rate monitor and this really made the monitor dig into my chest. I had to move the monitor lower on my chest than usual to avoid getting sore from the compression. Despite all of this, I still love it and would recommend it, but I just wanted to let other be aware that there are some potential issues.
jeffrey w.
I love this piece of equipment itβs excellent itβs so easy to use I am going to buy another and I would recommend to anyone who enjoys running
Stephen A.
The VR makes holding my phone and keys a cinch. I also like the reflective material and it was easy to adjust for runs; very comfortable and doesn't move around.
Barry E.
Good price ! Works well! Well made.
Bootsie D.
Would love to have rated this running vest 5 stars. Accessibility to my phone is a snap now. I just have one small issue. The slim pouch, behind the main cell phone pouch, needs its own velcro lock or zipper. I was out hiking, I stopped to take a picture so I took out my cell phone from the main pouch. I just let the pouch hang down, as I kept out walking my ID slipped right out from the front slim pouch. Didn't notice it until I returned to my car. I did a test back at my house, to see how easy it is for an ID or credit card to slip out and it was pretty easy. Besides that love the vest. I know now not to leave the vest open if I unclip it.
Something for the Freetrain 2.0
McDonald R.
Great product, love it!
Jackie R.
Super light weight I donβt have to worry about where to put my keys chapstick and phone, I no longer need to wear that bulky slippery arm band. Gonna use it with my 10k runs . Will totally recommend to all my friends and family.
Paul T.
Works just as it should! Thank you guys!
Nichole C.
Although I'm not a runner in nature, I do run on the treadmill. With our current situation, going to the gym is no longer a get in and get out deal. Not having a bag to take in i didn't have any where to put my keys, phone, energy bites without having to do a full disinfection of my surroundings. So when I came across the Freetrain VR I was sold, even before I purchased it. I shipped and arrived in a timely manner even with mail delays going on. When it arrived I was truly impressed. The way it fits over bulky sweat gear and still maintains the secure fit without feeling tight and the ease of reaching every thing I need during my run and when I'm leaving. Key β ear buds ββ Phone βββ. With times being a bit different Freetrain makes it easier to "be different." I Love It!!
